Coming to terms with the impacts of climate change – and the deafening grief of end stage capitalism – an ongoing project from back home in Norway, 2018–present.
Steigen is a remote fishing and farming community located on a peninsula along the coast of Vestfjorden, dissected by fjords and mountains, and is where I've spent the height of every summer (and the occasional winter) in since 2015. Life moves slowly under the midnight sun in the summer, and even slower during
the polar nights in the winter. This series focuses on my own climate grief and a northern community's mythical communion with nature, nurturing one's autonomy of self, and preparing for imminent change.
